Brand Identity Design

You're done with the logo that could belong to anyone.

The  Canva badge with a gradient
The one  your cousin's friend made
The  stock icon with your name next to it

You have taste. You've built something real. Your brand should be the first thing that proves it — not the thing you apologise for when you hand over your card.

You’ve been in business long enough to know the difference between a logo and a brand. You’re not looking for pretty.

You’re looking for pretty AND precise, something that reflects the level you're already operating at and opens the door to the level you’re heading toward.

How the Gumptious Brand Design works

Most brand designers ask what you want to look like. I ask what position in your market will make you the obvious choice — and what that choice needs to be worth to your ideal client. This is how we get there.

Step 01 The diagnostic
Step 01 — The Diagnostic

Before the first sketch, I need to understand your business.

You begin with a structured pre-work intake — not a mood board, not a Pinterest link. A diagnostic that covers your offer architecture, your ideal client, your competitive landscape, and where you want to be positioned in your market. I read it carefully before we speak. By the time we meet, I already know more about your business than most designers learn in an entire project.

Step 02 The position
Step 02 — The Position

Most designers ask what you want to look like. I ask where you want to own.

Using market segmentation and competitive positioning frameworks, I map where you currently sit in your category and where the white space is. Your brand will not be built on aesthetic preference alone. It will be built on a defensible position — one that is true to what you do, distinct from what others offer, and designed to attract the client who is ready to pay what you are worth.

Step 03 The identity
Step 03 — The Identity

This is where strategy becomes something you can see.

Every visual decision — the mark, the colour, the type, the spacing — is made in direct response to your positioning. Nothing is chosen because it is trending. Everything is chosen because it is right for where you are going. You will see one considered creative direction, built with intention, not three options designed to hedge.

Step 04 The handoff
Step 04 — The Handoff

You leave with everything. No asterisks.

Your brand is delivered as a complete, professional system — ready to use across every touchpoint from day one. This is not a logo file and a wish of good luck. It includes:

Primary, secondary and submark logo suite in every format  ·  Full colour system with exact hex, RGB and CMYK values  ·  Typography system with clear hierarchy and usage rules  ·  Brand pattern or texture for cohesion across all touchpoints  ·  Brand voice guidelines  ·  Messaging foundation including your positioning statement and value proposition  ·  A comprehensive brand guidelines document your printer, web designer or collaborator can pick up and use without a single question  ·  All source files in AI, EPS, SVG, PNG and PDF formats, organised and clearly labelled

Pretty & precise. In practice.

BRAND IDENTITY

Brand clarity isn’t an output. It’s a prerequisite.

This work defines the decisions your business will rely on —who it’s for, what it stands for, and where it draws firm boundaries —so design, messaging, and pricing don’t carry unresolved questions.

In case we haven’t met…

I’m Maria.

I help women founders turn messy offers into clean, premium websites that sell. My background in design systems and strategy means your site is more than pretty. It is a working asset with a plan.

I keep the process personal, the timeline tight, and the results measurable. If you want a site that looks like you and works like a business, you are in the right place.
